Newborn photography is about much more than beautiful pictures. It requires patience, experience, and above all, safety. Every infant photo session with me is completely baby-led. I never force babies into poses they don't naturally settle into. Instead, we move at your baby's pace, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, soothing, and quiet moments in between. Whether you visit my cozy studio in Richboro or choose an in-home baby photography session, my priority is always the same – creating a calm experience where both you and your baby feel comfortable from beginning to end.

Is Newborn Posing Safe for My Baby?

Safety on set means more than good intentions. My hand or a parent's – stays within reach of your baby throughout every pose, so nothing is ever staged from a distance. The studio is kept warm enough that those few seconds of undressing for a wrap feel comfortable, not startling. And if a pose isn't settling right, we simply move to the next one – no forcing, no second-guessing.

A sleeping newborn is deceptively simple to photograph badly – flat light turns soft skin into something clinical, and it's the first thing I fix. I shoot at an angle, close to the skin, so every wrinkle and fold stays visible instead of getting washed out under a flash aimed straight on. Whether it's a studio session or a home newborn photographer visit in Bucks County, the setup travels with me – same soft light, same gentle approach, wherever your baby is most comfortable sleeping.

What to Expect at Your Newborn Session

Before Your Session

Most families reserve their infant photo session during pregnancy, ideally by the second trimester, to lock in availability around their due date.

During Your Session

Your baby sets the pace – we pause for feeding, soothing, or a cuddle break whenever needed, no rushing.

Image Selection

After your session, you'll receive a beautifully edited gallery of your newborn to choose your favourite images from.

Your Memories

Your final newborn photographs are carefully edited in my signature timeless style, ready to become treasured keepsakes for generations.

I recommend reaching out during your second or third trimester, ideally by week 30. We'll use your due date as a placeholder, and I'll keep that week flexible in case baby arrives early or late.

Sessions are available in my studio in Richboro, Pennsylvania, or as an in-home newborn photographer visit if you'd rather stay close to your own nursery. Just mention your location when sending your inquiry and I'll let you know what's possible.

That's completely normal, and I never force it. We pause for feeding, soothing, or a quiet cuddle whenever baby needs one, and I work at their pace rather than a schedule. Some of my favorite images come from the moments in between the "planned" poses.

Honestly, not much — I provide wraps, outfits, and props, so you don't need to buy anything in advance. A few basics like diapers, a backup outfit, and prepped milk go a long way.

Most sessions run two to four hours, depending on your package. That might sound long for a handful of poses, but newborns move at their own pace, and rushing never produces the soft, relaxed images most parents picture.

Yes. Every package includes access to my wrap, outfit, and prop collection, so you're welcome to arrive with nothing at all and still leave with a full gallery of looks. If you'd rather bring your own pieces, that's welcome too.

Absolutely, and I always encourage it. Family portraits are built into every newborn package — just mention any siblings when you inquire so I can plan enough time for everyone.
